Today we introduced the Popcorn Points project and explored the visual imagery of Beowulf as we read the story of how Beowulf fought and defeated Grendel's mother.

We took a sheet of plain paper and folded it in half, creating four half-page panels (two on front, two on back).

As I read this portion of the story aloud, we drew what we visualized from the description of Grendel's home and of the battle. This was drawn in one panel (panel #3) of the paper.

Afterward, we drew an illustration from the story of Beowulf fighting Grendel in panel #2, and made a "title panel" in panel #1. We will draw panel #4 after reading the conclusion of the story.

Your assignment is to complete your drawings in the first three panels if necessary.
