The de Vaca/Bradford assignment is due today. Today we took a pop quiz over the early American narratives read so far; if you were absent you need to arrange a time with me to make up your quiz.

Today we introduced a woman's voice to our study of early American voices, through the reading of Anne Bradstreet's poem "Here Follow Some Verses upon the Burning of Our House, July 10, 1666." This is found on pages 96-97 of your textbook. We then went through the poem and translated the inverted sentence structure into normal sentence structure.
