HW DUE TODAY: Chapter 12 synopsis. ENTRY TASK: Journal entry: Need-to-Know: Vocab: curtail (ker-TAIL) v. To cut short/reduce in size. Common Prepositions ACTIVITY TODAY: 1. In small groups, read chapter 13 aloud. 2. Collect and define five or more vocabulary words from chapter 13. 3. Write a half-page synopsis (each person will write his/her own) of this chapter. 4. Read chapter 14 independently or with a small group. HOMEWORK: Finish chapter 13 vocab and synopsis if necessary. Study for an "Entry Task Quiz" (need-to-know, vocab, etc.) in the near future. |
