Today we explore another author of early science fiction, Jules Verne -- the "patron saint of advanced technology". First, we watched the Prophet of Science Fiction video on this author, which you can watch below. While watching, please take notes about Jules Verne as the "father of science fiction," including some of his significant predictions.
Following this, we moved to the computer lab and broke into two groups: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Half of us read the first piece (in graphic novel adaptation) while the other half read the other piece. The files are below.
