2B and 3B - Today your rough drafts went through a round robin peer-revision process. You cannot receive late credit for your rough drafts. 1B and 4B - Today was our computer lab day for preparing for the presentations. Today you should have read the next chunk of Of Mice and Men and should be nearing the end of the book. Remember that your presentations are coming up one week from tomorrow! ITE (1B & 4B) - Today we completed our seminars over For the Win and then took notes and watched video clips about John Steinbeck and the Great Depression in preparation for our reading of Of Mice and Men. 2B & 3B - Today we began researching and drafting for our American Author research projects. Today, the ITE classes (1B and 4B) had their For the Win seminars. If you were absent, you need to see Mrs. Baker for your make-up assignment. The regular junior English classees (2B and 3B) took notes on John Steinbeck and then watched a video about Steinbeck and the Great Depression in preparation for reading Of Mice and Men. YOUR AMERICAN AUTHOR NOVELS need to be READ!!! Today we finished and typed our practice reports from Tuesday, and submitted them for vicious review! Today we began an activity to review, refresh, and practice correct citation and Works Cited construction. Each student was assigned a general topic (e.g., dinosaurs, weather, Presidents) and then a subtopic within that topic (e.g., triceratops, hurricanes, Andrew Jackson). They were provided with children's books and website articles and asked to write a short, simple report about their subtopic, focusing on correct use of parenthetical citations and correct construction of a Works Cited. | What Did I Miss?If you were absent, or just can't remember what we did in class (or what was due/assigned) find that day's entry for the daily agenda.
